It's almost impossible to judge veil colour accurately from a designer dress photo — lighting, editing and screen settings all change how it appears. Designer colour names aren't reliable either: what one brand calls ivory, another calls white or off-white.
We offer two shades:
Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
This style is offered in three shades:
Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
Champagne — warmer still, with a soft golden tone. Pairs well with champagne, blush or warm-ivory gowns.
This style is offered in ivory only — a warm, creamy shade best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
Off-white is shown alongside in the image for reference, so you can see how ivory compares.
This style is offered in off-white only — our palest shade, a soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory is shown alongside in the image for reference, so you can see how off-white compares.
If you are still not sure you can order samples; compare them in natural light against your dress.
The Atlas is a two tier horsehair edge wedding veil, featuring a blusher that lifts after the ceremony. Available in off white or ivory, each piece is entirely handmade in Bath by one artisan. A timeless heirloom to treasure for generations.
Made in our Bath workshop, a stone's throw from the Abbey. Each piece is crafted individually—never mass-produced or imported.
We source materials from specialist mills and suppliers in England, Italy and the USA, selected for quality and longevity.
Every order arrives beautifully wrapped and ready to gift. No additional packaging needed—just hand it over. Presented in our signature keepsake box with grosgrain ribbon.
Founded by Sarah, Britten is an independent atelier seen in The Crown on Netflix, featured in Vogue and Style Me Pretty.
"A fantastic statement veil. The horsehair edge gives the Atlas such beautiful movement and structure, creating that perfect bridal silhouette as you walk down the aisle." — Sarah, Founder
Our fingertip length (122cm) suits most dress styles, whilst floor length (200cm) creates dramatic impact. Church (250cm) and cathedral (300cm) lengths are perfect for formal ceremonies. For detailed guidance, read our wedding veil guide or get in touch for personalised advice.
Absolutely! You can see real brides wearing the Atlas veil by scrolling through our product images below or viewing more styled shoots on our blog here. This gives you a wonderful sense of how the veil moves and photographs on your special day.
Proper storage is essential for preserving your handmade veil as a treasured keepsake. We recommend our veil bag and hanging clip, specifically designed to keep your veil in perfect condition. This allows you to store it safely and display it as a beautiful reminder of your wedding day.
Horsehair edging creates subtle structure and weight along the veil's perimeter, giving beautiful movement and preventing the tulle from clinging. Unlike raw or rolled edges, it maintains its shape throughout your ceremony. The finish is delicate yet durable, perfect for creating that classic bridal silhouette.
Yes! We offer beautiful personalisation options including your wedding date and initials. For the full range of embroidery styles and placement options, explore our veil embroidery add ons. This creates a truly bespoke piece that becomes a meaningful family heirloom.
