Choosing your veil colour

It's almost impossible to judge veil colour accurately from a designer dress photo — lighting, editing and screen settings all change how it appears. Designer colour names aren't reliable either: what one brand calls ivory, another calls white or off-white.

We offer two shades:

Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.

Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.

If you are still not sure you can order samples; compare them in natural light against your dress.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you wear a face veil on combs?

Hold the 'Clio' so the lace edge sits at eye level, then slide the combs into your hair, teeth pointing back, so they catch close to the scalp. Combs grip best in hair with a little texture, so a light spritz of dry shampoo or a touch of backcombing where they sit makes all the difference. Should I choose the 'Clio' or the 'Vita'?

Both are short voilettes in the same soft Italian tulle. The 'Clio' is set on combs and edged in our scalloped Clio lace, so you can position it wherever you like, including on a half-up style or tilted to one side. The 'Vita' is mounted on a satin headband and edged in our Siena eyelash lace, and simply slides on like an Alice band.

What is a voilette?

A voilette is a short veil that falls just over the eyes. The 'Clio' is made in soft Italian tulle, which is finer and more fluid than the crisp Russian net of a birdcage veil, so it falls gently over the face. It is edged with our Clio lace and drops approximately 15cm from the combs.

How should I store my voilette after the wedding?

Store your voilette loosely and never folded flat under weight, so the scalloped lace edge is not crushed. Keep it somewhere dry and away from direct sunlight. If you need storage solutions, please see our veil bag and hanging clip.
