It's almost impossible to judge veil colour accurately from a designer dress photo — lighting, editing and screen settings all change how it appears. Designer colour names aren't reliable either: what one brand calls ivory, another calls white or off-white.
We offer two shades:
Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
This style is offered in three shades:
Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
Champagne — warmer still, with a soft golden tone. Pairs well with champagne, blush or warm-ivory gowns.
This style is offered in ivory only — a warm, creamy shade best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
Off-white is shown alongside in the image for reference, so you can see how ivory compares.
This style is offered in off-white only — our palest shade, a soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.

If you are still not sure you can order samples; compare them in natural light against your dress.

"The Dakota's tassel fringe creates such beautiful movement - it's perfect for brides wanting that authentic 1920s drama. The fringe catches the light beautifully as you walk." — Sarah, Founder
The Dakota is available in ballet length only, which falls between the knee and ankle. For comprehensive guidance on veil lengths and styling, please read our wedding veil guide. If you need specific advice for your dress, do get in touch with our team.
Off white has a cleaner, brighter tone whilst ivory offers a softer, creamier hue. We recommend ordering our traditional tulle samples to see both colours against your dress. This ensures the perfect colour match for your special day.
Proper storage is essential for preserving the tassel fringe. We recommend our veil bag and hanging clip which allows the veil to hang naturally without crushing the delicate tassels. This keeps your veil in perfect condition for future occasions.
Yes, the Dakota can be beautifully personalised with your wedding date and initials. The embroidery is placed away from the tassel fringe area to preserve the dramatic effect. Explore our full range of veil embroidery add ons for various font and placement options.
Absolutely - the Dakota is specifically designed to complement 1920s styling. The comb attachment works beautifully with finger waves, low chignons, and other period-appropriate hairstyles. The tassel fringe enhances the authentic vintage aesthetic whilst allowing natural movement as you dance and celebrate.
