It's almost impossible to judge veil colour accurately from a designer dress photo — lighting, editing and screen settings all change how it appears. Designer colour names aren't reliable either: what one brand calls ivory, another calls white or off-white.
We offer two shades:
Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
This style is offered in three shades:
Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
Champagne — warmer still, with a soft golden tone. Pairs well with champagne, blush or warm-ivory gowns.
This style is offered in ivory only — a warm, creamy shade best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
Off-white is shown alongside in the image for reference, so you can see how ivory compares.
This style is offered in off-white only — our palest shade, a soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory is shown alongside in the image for reference, so you can see how off-white compares.
If you are still not sure you can order samples; compare them in natural light against your dress.
'Ophelia' is a classic single tier wedding veil featuring whimsical wildflowers embroidered in an array of colours up the train. Gathered at the top and attached to a silver plated comb, this handmade piece becomes a treasured keepsake to preserve long after your special day.
Made in our Bath workshop, a stone's throw from the Abbey. Each piece is crafted individually—never mass-produced or imported.
We source materials from specialist mills and suppliers in England, Italy and the USA, selected for quality and longevity.
Every order arrives beautifully wrapped and ready to gift. No additional packaging needed—just hand it over. Presented in our signature keepsake box with grosgrain ribbon.

"A beautiful wildflower wedding veil to add a touch of colour to your dress. The hand-embroidered blooms create such a romantic, whimsical effect as they cascade down the train." — Sarah, Founder
Our veils range from fingertip (122cm) to cathedral length (300cm), each creating a different bridal silhouette. For detailed guidance on selecting the perfect length for your dress style and venue, please read our wedding veil guide or get in touch for personalised advice.
Yes, you can beautifully personalise your Ophelia veil with your wedding date and initials. We offer various veil embroidery add ons to complement the existing wildflower design. You can also explore our full range of veil hand embroidered options.
Proper storage is essential for preserving your veil's delicate embroidery and tulle fabric. We recommend our specially designed veil bag and hanging clip, which allows your veil to hang naturally without creasing. This protects the colourful wildflower embroidery and maintains the veil's beautiful drape.
Every Britten veil is entirely handmade in our Bath workshop by one skilled artisan, ensuring exceptional attention to detail and quality. The wildflower embroidery on the Ophelia veil is carefully hand-stitched, creating a unique piece that reflects true British craftsmanship. You can meet our friendly team to learn more about our artisanal approach.
We use traditional tulle for our wildflower veils, available in both off-white and ivory to perfectly complement your dress. To help you choose the ideal colour match, we offer traditional tulle samples. This allows you to compare the fabric against your dress before making your final selection.
