It's almost impossible to judge veil colour accurately from a designer dress photo — lighting, editing and screen settings all change how it appears. Designer colour names aren't reliable either: what one brand calls ivory, another calls white or off-white.
We offer two shades:
Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
This style is offered in three shades:
Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
Champagne — warmer still, with a soft golden tone. Pairs well with champagne, blush or warm-ivory gowns.
This style is offered in ivory only — a warm, creamy shade best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.
Off-white is shown alongside in the image for reference, so you can see how ivory compares.
This style is offered in off-white only — our palest shade, a soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.
Ivory is shown alongside in the image for reference, so you can see how off-white compares.
If you are still not sure you can order samples; compare them in natural light against your dress.
Our extra wide version of the signature waterfall cut barely there veil, measuring 274cm wide compared to our standard 183cm. First designed by Sarah Jane in 2016, this registered design creates effortless elegance for any occasion beyond your wedding day.
Made in our Bath workshop, a stone's throw from the Abbey. Each piece is crafted individually—never mass-produced or imported.
We source materials from specialist mills and suppliers in England, Italy and the USA, selected for quality and longevity.
Every order arrives beautifully wrapped and ready to gift. No additional packaging needed—just hand it over. Presented in our signature keepsake box with grosgrain ribbon.
Founded by Sarah, Britten is an independent atelier seen in The Crown on Netflix, featured in Vogue and Style Me Pretty.
"Perfect if you like the barely there veil but have a big dress! The extra width creates beautiful proportions with fuller silhouettes." — Sarah, Founder
We offer five length options from fingertip (122cm) to cathedral (300cm). For detailed guidance on selecting the perfect length for your dress style and venue, please read our comprehensive wedding veil guide. Our team is also happy to help - do get in touch with any questions.
Both shades complement different dress tones beautifully. We recommend ordering our italian tulle samples to compare the colours against your dress. Off white tends to be cooler toned whilst ivory has warmer undertones.
Proper storage preserves your veil's delicate structure for years to come. Our veil bag and hanging clip provides the ideal solution for storing your narrow barely there veil safely. The hanging system prevents creasing whilst the protective bag shields it from dust.
Absolutely! Personalisation adds a meaningful touch to your special piece. You can add your wedding date and initials, with many more beautiful options available through our veil embroidery add ons. Each piece is embroidered by hand in our Bath workshop.
This registered design was first created by Sarah Jane in 2016 and has become one of our most beloved pieces. The barely there construction with no gather creates an effortless, modern silhouette that moves naturally.
