Choosing your veil colour

It's almost impossible to judge veil colour accurately from a designer dress photo — lighting, editing and screen settings all change how it appears. Designer colour names aren't reliable either: what one brand calls ivory, another calls white or off-white.

We offer two shades:

Off-white — our palest shade. A soft, clean bridal white with very little warmth or creaminess.

Ivory — warmer and creamier. Best suited to gowns with a soft or traditional ivory tone.

If you are still not sure you can order samples; compare them in natural light against your dress.

Description

The 'Rosaline' Juliet cap veil is a modern take on the cap veils favoured by brides from 1910 to the 1940s. Soft Italian tulle is draped over the head, knotted just behind each ear, then falls into the length of your choice. The sculptural knots make it a statement piece for brides who want something unexpected. Named after Romeo's first love, before Juliet.

  • Draped Juliet cap with a sculptural knot behind each ear, softly framing the face.
  • Two discreet combs hidden behind the knots for secure, comfortable wear.
  • Made from soft Italian tulle in off-white or ivory, chosen for its fluid drape.
  • Personalise with veil embroidery add ons including wedding date and initials.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you wear the Rosaline knotted Juliet cap veil?

The draped cap sits over the crown of your head and the knots rest just behind each ear, where two hidden combs hold the veil securely. From there the tulle falls into the length of your choice. Our wedding veil guide has more styling advice.

What makes Rosaline different from a classic Juliet cap veil?

A classic Juliet cap is gathered neatly into a fitted cap. Rosaline is softer and more sculptural: the tulle is draped over the head and tied into a knot at each side, framing the face for a more modern, fashion-led look. If you prefer the classic shape, see our Jules Juliet cap veil.

How do I choose the right length for a Juliet cap veil?

Juliet cap veils appear slightly shorter than traditional styles as the measurement is taken from the front of the cap rather than the crown. Floor length and longer show off Rosaline's draped sides beautifully. Our wedding veil guide provides detailed guidance, or get in touch for personalised advice.

Can I add personalised embroidery to the Rosaline veil?

Absolutely — you can personalise this veil with your wedding date and initials through our veil embroidery add ons. Additional options are available through our embroidered veil collection.

What is Rosaline made from?

Rosaline is made from Italian tulle, chosen for its soft, fluid drape, which lets the cap fall naturally into the knots at each side. It comes in off-white or ivory. Order samples to see the colours and feel the fabric before you decide. To keep your veil at its best afterwards, our veil bag and hanging clip is ideal for storage.
