Real Bride | La Sposa Dress | Silk Style Church Length Veil Isabella

Colette got married at Boswell's Coach House set in the Auchinleck Estate in Ayrshire and her day could not have looked more perfect!

Her gorgeous lace dress by La Sposa was finished off beautifully by our silk style Isabella veil and a pair of Valentino Rockstuds (we're not jealous at all!) Also as we make our own accessories I probably shouldn't mention her stunning earrings which are by Australian designer Christie Nicolaides but I'm going to anyway as I think they're so great! She also had her Mum's wedding band which I think is such a lovely touch.

'My favourite memory is walking in with my Dad and Fraser and I couldn't
take our eyes off one another, I have never felt so happy, my heart could have burst! The whole weekend was wonderful, we stayed in a beautiful house on the estate that belonged to James Boswell and it was full of our family the whole weekend.'

During the ceremony they had a reading from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis De Bernieres:

Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. because this is
what love is.

Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate
accident.

Those that truly love, have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.

They also had music played by Sedona Park who are a guitarist and violinist who do modern songs, they played a version of Biffy Clyro's 'Mountains' and The Macabees 'Toothpaste Kisses' as they signed their marriage certificate - what a lovely way to remember such a special moment with a song?

They had yet more music in the evening from ceilidh band The Tatties, if you've never tried ceilidh dancing then you are missing out! They must have had so much fun swinging their way through the evening.

The gorgeous couple spent their honeymoon in Dubai followed by Mauritius of which Colette said "it was wonderful to chill out after such a busy few weeks."

Thank you so much Colette for sharing your memories with us of your wedding day and thank you so much to Steven Gallagher for these incredible photographs, Colette told us that Steven was the most amazing photographer and that all of their guests couldn't stop telling them how highly they thought of him!

I hope you and Fraser are happily enjoying married life together.
