"They added just the perfect, delicate touch I wanted. They were beautiful. The packaging was amazing too. I really enjoyed opening my special boxes. Thank you Britten. Charlotte"
We spotted this gorgeous image taken by Sophie Evans Photography on instagram and are delighted to share it with you. Jodi paired a stunning Sassi Holford dress with our crystal back drop necklace Cleo! Love love love!
We love September! So many brides get in touch with images of their weddings from over the summer and we see all our hard work come to life!
We spotted this wedding on Love My Dress and had to share a few of our favourites with you.
"For her big day, Stefanie chose a beautiful rock ‘n’ roll beaded sleeveless dress from Needle & Thread, paired with her beloved cowboy boots and a gold hair vine by Love My Dress favourite Britten Weddings."

We just received these beautiful pictures of real bride Anna and were very excited to share them with you. Anna wore our Misa veil which is a two tier silk style veil edged with eyelash lace. This was styled with the Avani leaf vine, Addie earrings and a simple but very elegant dress with a beautiful low back.
"I'm happy to say that I was very much a Britten bride! Not only was my veil one of yours, but my headpiece and my earrings were all from you...
I have to say that every single thing that my family and I purchased from Britten weddings was JUST beautiful. I adored that everything was handmade and came from your team in Bradford-on-avon. These pieces have now been boxed away and kept so that my children and my grandchildren will have the option to enjoy them if they wish. "
Such lovely words thanks so much Anna and we're so thrilled you loved your pieces.

“I wanted something quite simple and this was one of the first I tried on. I loved that I could add the shrug in the day and remove it in the night for two different looks.”

Our veil collection has grown considerably since we started all those years ago and with it has the amount of different kinds of fabrics we use. We are always trying to fill gaps in the veil market and finding and creating new styles is just so much fun!
We thought it would be a good idea to give a breakdown of all of our fabrics so you can find the right one for you.
The veil that Tonya wore in these images (a combination of eyelash French lace and silk style tulle) is one of our absolute favourites and it compliments her Jenny Packham dress perfectly
Capes are a fabulous alternative to a veil as they are slightly more unusual in the bridal world. They can provide a little bit of cover for modesty in church weddings and can help transform your outfit from day to night.
If you are after an alternative to a veil then a full tulle cape like our Imogen is the best option. This cape comes in fingertip, ballet, floor, church and cathedral and with a high or low neckline so you can choose which best compliments your dress. To provide some cover in a church you could go for a lace wrap like Charis which can also be worn for your getting ready shots as an alternative to a dressing gown. To instantly turn your wedding dress into an evening gown try one of our hand beaded capelets like Edwina or Jolie.
We spotted this wedding on Love My Dress and were desperate to share it with you.
We love bridal separates and they are a great alternative to a more traditional dress. Emma wore the ‘Caplan’ top and ‘Camila’ skirt, both by Rime Arodaky from The Mews Bridal, Notting Hill. She styled this with our Luisa wedding veil which really compliments the lace. Emma wore the veil high on her head so that the lace framed her face and fell over her shoulders.
“Whilst I wanted something bridal, I also didn’t want to feel too serious or traditional. I really struggled to find anything I liked, whilst I tried on some beautiful dresses they all felt like they belonged to someone else. I loved the idea of wearing separates and a friend recommended I try The Mews. The stylist there was wonderful, she suggested the combination herself as it wasn’t a matching set, I loved that it felt modern and true to my own style.”
"My cathedral length lace veil was from Britten Weddings and made my outfit feel a bit more bridal, I kept it on well into the night as a favour to my 7 year old self"
Good work Emma! You only get to wear a veil once so wear it for as long you can!
