There is nothing more special about your wedding day than celebrating with your loved ones and that is how our real bride Lucy set the rhythm of her day.
Lucy started her day by getting ready in a gorgeous home surrounded by her family and bridesmaids, with her little cousins having fun in the swimming pool and the occasional presence of some little wet noses and fluffy tails of the family dogs helped complete the perfect family occasion.
As the nerves started setting in, Lucy started getting all the finishing touches in place to create her perfect bridal look. In a beautiful lace Mikaella 2016 dress, Lucy finished her look with our Barely There wedding veil Skylar in Ivory floor length which complimented and showed off the beautiful detail in her hair and dress.
"Feeling really nervous walking into the church and then suddenly feeling calmer when I saw Steph waiting for me at the end of the aisle"
Thank you so much Lucy for sharing these beautiful pictures of your amazing wedding day and to Jun Tan Weddings for your incredible photographs of the day.
Married in the beautiful Connaught Hotel in Mayfair our real bride Cat walked down the aisle wearing a beautifully fitted lace Aire Barcelona dress that she purchased from a lovely bridal shop in Fulham.
We were so excited to receive the pictures of Cat and her husband on their big day and to experience elements of her special day and how she wore wore our Blue Flower Wedding Hair Pins Hope.
Cat looked absolutely incredible in her gorgeous dress matched perfectly with earrings and a watch which were gifted from her husband on the morning of their wedding day. She finished off her look with our blue flower hair pins Hope which sit in her beautifully intricate up do.
Cat also lovingly purchased some of our bridesmaid thank you gift necklace - Seville to give to her bridal party on the wedding day. Such a lovely way to thank those who helped you plan your big day.
I have to say Cat looked amazing on her wedding day and thank you so much for sharing your pictures with us and to Mark Seymour for your photographs.
It absolutely makes our day receiving images from our real brides on their big day and I am eager to share this image of our real bride Florence.
She started off her most perfect day surrounded by her friends and family whilst having her hair designed beautifully by Tracey Ward
Florence's hair looks absolutely incredible with the intricate details of curls pinned so delicately but with such and impact and our gold and freshwater pearl spray hair pins Eve finish off the design perfectly.
Thank you so much Florence for sharing part of your special day with us and thank you to Tatum Reid Photography for your beautiful photograph.
I'm so so happy to be able to share with you these images of the gorgeous Jo on her wedding day.
For their city wedding in Marylebone she wore an incredible pleated satin midi dress by Charlie Brear which was complimented beautifully by our fingertip cut edge veil Niacae. Her shoes were courtesy of a footwear buyer friend of hers who had them made by one of her Italian suppliers - isn't it great when you have friends like this?! I am especially in love with her pom pom earrings which were from J Crew.
They got married a 4pm at the Asia House Registry office and Jo says one of her favourite memories was how she couldn't stop grinning when she walked down the aisle towards husband to be, Paul. She also told us that her sister had some words embroidered onto a handkerchief that she imagined their Father would’ve said to her had he still been alive. She kept the hankie in the pocket of her wedding dress and it read
‘My darling daughter, of all the walks we have taken this will be my favourite. I will be by your side every step of the way. Let me wipe away any tears that may fall. Love you always, Daddy x’
What a moving present to have made, I'm sure this will be treasured forever.
After the ceremony they were walking around Marylebone with their photographer to get some photos and people kept stopping them in the street to congratulate them! She said that flagging a cab down in her wedding dress on Marylebone High Street felt like she was in a movie!
For their dinner in the evening they went to The Grazing Goat nearby. They didn't have a traditional first dance or dance-floor but Jo said that they had 'You Make My Dreams Come True' by Hall & Oates as they left the ceremony, which she tried (and failed!) to get Paul to dance down the aisle to!
They went to Greece for a week after the wedding for a mini honeymoon before their main one in January where they're going to Sri Lanka for 3 weeks.
Thank you so much Jo for sharing these gorgeous memories with us and to Annelie Eddy for your fantastic photographs.
Jennie celebrated her special day surrounded by her family, friends and the crew from the Death Star oh and Darth Vader himself (definitely the best adaptation for the grooms cake).
We absolutely love hearing from our brides especially those who we have been in touch regularly to help them find the perfect wedding accessories and it made our day when Jennie and her mum Jane got in touch after what looks like the most amazing day.
Her beautifully fitted asymmetrical dress by Mori Lee was finished off perfectly by our pearl drop wedding Alexi necklace and the matching pearl drop Alexis mini earrings which match the detail on her dress like they were made for each other! Her beautiful headdress was made by Jennie and Jane which is a perfect touch as well as her Jimmy Choo's!!
Jane also looked amazing wearing a soft blue dress with matching hat and finished off her look perfectly with our crystal wedding cuff Quin, crystal wedding earrings Zoe and the matching crystal wedding necklace Zoey.
Thank you so so much for sharing the images of your special day with us and to Lara Frost Photography for your beautiful photographs.
Mingyi captured her incredible day at a picturesque location of Dodford Manor in Northhamptonshire.
Her stunning dress was found in at Blackburn Bridal in London who help many brides find the dress of their dreams, she finished of her dress perfectly with our single tier cut edge Niace veil and customised shoes from Shoes of Prey! It's every girls dream to design their own wedding shoes!
"I absolutely loved the veil. It was the perfect accessory for my dress. I couldn’t imagine a better veil!"
Mingyi absolutely fell in love with their wedding venue and drew inspiration for her wedding style from a number of her favourite blogs, Instagram accounts and some of the top bridal magazines.
"We loved the venue so much we decided to have minimal décor except the flowers. My husband and I both like the colour blue and yellow so we stick with that colour scheme and let the florists and the venue team do their magic. We were really relaxed during the whole preparation and put really little effort into the whole thing. The result was way beyond our expectation thanks to all the amazing suppliers."
Their florist Field Gate Flowers and Dodford Manor did an amazing job of making their day absolutely perfect!
Mingyi's Memorable Moment
"I couldn’t stop crying when I was walking down the aisle! I looks like a reindeer in all the photos taken during the ceremony"
From the gorgeous photos we have seen Mingyi was far from a reindeer on her big day, she looks incredible and so so happy whilst looking into her husbands eyes.
Thank you so much Mingyi for sharing moments of your special day with us and to your photographer Carrie Lavers for capturing their most special day.
Colette got married at Boswell's Coach House set in the Auchinleck Estate in Ayrshire and her day could not have looked more perfect!
Her gorgeous lace dress by La Sposa was finished off beautifully by our silk style Isabella veil and a pair of Valentino Rockstuds (we're not jealous at all!) Also as we make our own accessories I probably shouldn't mention her stunning earrings which are by Australian designer Christie Nicolaides but I'm going to anyway as I think they're so great! She also had her Mum's wedding band which I think is such a lovely touch.
During the ceremony they had a reading from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis De Bernieres:
Those that truly love, have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.
They also had music played by Sedona Park who are a guitarist and violinist who do modern songs, they played a version of Biffy Clyro's 'Mountains' and The Macabees 'Toothpaste Kisses' as they signed their marriage certificate - what a lovely way to remember such a special moment with a song?
They had yet more music in the evening from ceilidh band The Tatties, if you've never tried ceilidh dancing then you are missing out! They must have had so much fun swinging their way through the evening.
The gorgeous couple spent their honeymoon in Dubai followed by Mauritius of which Colette said "it was wonderful to chill out after such a busy few weeks."
Thank you so much Colette for sharing your memories with us of your wedding day and thank you so much to Steven Gallagher for these incredible photographs, Colette told us that Steven was the most amazing photographer and that all of their guests couldn't stop telling them how highly they thought of him!
I hope you and Fraser are happily enjoying married life together.
Our real bride Kathryn is a beautiful example of a bride in a pure white wedding veil! She's also proof that you don't need a long veil to make an impact, the train on her stunning beaded Umbriel dress by Eliza Jane Howell was the real focal point and the veil blended in so well. Fingertip length veils are perfect for dresses with lots of detail as they don't detract and as they're short you can keep them on all day long if you want to!
Our Isabella veil made of silk soft tulle is perfect for a classic vintage look like Kathryn and the material feels so beautiful to wear.
Thank you so much Kathryn for sending us these gorgeous images and thank you to Ian Southworth at Peartree Pictures for your lovely photos.
I hope you and your husband had an amazing day and that you have a wonderful life together!
Poppy came in for an appointment a few months ago and I really remember how relaxed and excited she was about her wedding and when she sent us this photo I think it really sums it up!
She chose our gorgeous freshwater pearl golden hair vine Avery which went so well with her beaded Jenny Packham dress. She must have glimmered in the light as her and husband Tom had their first dance to Enterlude by The Killers.
Whenever you’re right, shut up.'
'We decided to have a small wedding of 60 people. We wanted closest friends and family. It was so intimate.
Marrying Tom was just magical. He is truly the love of my life and I'm thankful everyday that I have him. We've been on a real journey to get to where we are now. I wouldn't change all our life experiences we've had together. Some have been testing and cruel but it's shaped us to what we are now. Its genuine, real love.'
Excuse me, I think I have something in my eye...
What a beautiful person inside and out, thank you so much Poppy for sharing this with us, I hope you and Tom have the best life together. Also thank you to Millie Benbow for capturing this beautiful moment
When Jayne sent us these photos it really made my day! She chose our classic single tier ivory veil in a church length called Niacae for her stunning church wedding. The beaded detail on the back of her Luciana dress by Jenny Packham must have sparkled so beautifully under those incredible lights!
"I just wanted to write to say thank you for my beautiful veil that I ordered for my wedding day! I ordered online, your images were so helpful and really showed a true reflection of what I had ordered! It came in literally a few days in the most beautiful packaging and I did just want to thanks because it really did just finish off my dress perfectly!"
Thank you so much Jayne for sharing these with us and thank you to Picturesque by Mr and Mrs M for your wonderful photography and capturing such a romantic day.
