I'm so so happy to be able to share with you these images of the gorgeous Jo on her wedding day.
For their city wedding in Marylebone she wore an incredible pleated satin midi dress by Charlie Brear which was complimented beautifully by our fingertip cut edge veil Niacae. Her shoes were courtesy of a footwear buyer friend of hers who had them made by one of her Italian suppliers - isn't it great when you have friends like this?! I am especially in love with her pom pom earrings which were from J Crew.
They got married a 4pm at the Asia House Registry office and Jo says one of her favourite memories was how she couldn't stop grinning when she walked down the aisle towards husband to be, Paul. She also told us that her sister had some words embroidered onto a handkerchief that she imagined their Father would’ve said to her had he still been alive. She kept the hankie in the pocket of her wedding dress and it read
‘My darling daughter, of all the walks we have taken this will be my favourite. I will be by your side every step of the way. Let me wipe away any tears that may fall. Love you always, Daddy x’
What a moving present to have made, I'm sure this will be treasured forever.
After the ceremony they were walking around Marylebone with their photographer to get some photos and people kept stopping them in the street to congratulate them! She said that flagging a cab down in her wedding dress on Marylebone High Street felt like she was in a movie!
For their dinner in the evening they went to The Grazing Goat nearby. They didn't have a traditional first dance or dance-floor but Jo said that they had 'You Make My Dreams Come True' by Hall & Oates as they left the ceremony, which she tried (and failed!) to get Paul to dance down the aisle to!
They went to Greece for a week after the wedding for a mini honeymoon before their main one in January where they're going to Sri Lanka for 3 weeks.
Thank you so much Jo for sharing these gorgeous memories with us and to Annelie Eddy for your fantastic photographs.
