Real Bride | Tabitha Gown | Bespoke Embroidered Wedding veil, Flora Hair Vine and A Personalised Catherine Garter

Our gorgeous bride Thea got married on a blustery sunny English summers day in August this year at St Thomas of Canterbury RC Church in Sevenoaks Kent.

The couple had a relatively traditional ceremony with many of their closest friends making it even more personal by reading beautiful passages for them including the beautiful Corinthians passage ‘love is patient, love is kind…’.

Thea looked stunning and elegant in her beautiful satin and lace Tabitha gown with gorgeous buttons down the back from bridal shop Ring O’Roses, Sidcup and fabulous Jimmy Choo shoes. She also had stunning flowers from Katherine Craft, Florist in the Forest.

Thea got in touch with us early on in the year with all of her ideas and trusted us to create a unique bespoke veil. Thea chose the Millie lace to create a drop veil with beautiful Margarette motifs that matched the lace on her dress perfectly. I had the pleasure of embroidering Thea’s veil with the bride and groom’s initials and the wedding date making it even more special and a piece to treasure.

‘I honestly couldn’t have been more pleased with it and everyone was blown away by the detailing and embroidery on the veil’

Thea combined her bespoke veil with our ‘something blue’ soft lace garter Catherine and added one of our personalised charms. She also wore our Flora multi-piece hair vine which looked stunning in her hair combined with her veil. Thea’s hair was styled by Hero Hairstylist and her makeup done by Emma Lily Artistry

Thea wanted a laid back, country garden theme for the special day and found Rock My Wedding as a great source of inspiration. She recommends their focus groups in London as they gave her lots of inspiration from other brides to be. Thea embraced her creative side by using magazines such as Brides and You & Your Wedding for making collages. She also researched the venues other weddings for ideas using Pinterest and Instagram. Thea felt lucky to find a venue and wonderful suppliers who helped to bring all of her ideas together and make them a reality.

The couple chose Chiddingstone Castle, a stunning historic house in Kent, for their reception. Thea says that the grounds were beautiful and that the guests were kept on their toes as each part of the day took part in a different part in the Castle. The drinks reception, wedding breakfast, evening dancing, even their first dance to ‘Crazy Little Thing’ Queen, meant that they gradually made it round the whole venue as the day unfolded. They danced the night away to band The Flyaways.

Thea and her husband’s created such a graceful and romantic day with so many personal touches and attention to detail. We have been lucky enough to see and share some of her incredible images with you which were caught so beautifully by their wedding photographer David Burke.
