Real bride Jessica married her groom on a relaxed and personal day in May on her family farm in Buckinghamshire. The day was beautifully captured by Voyteck Photography
Jessica wore the ‘Isla’ dress by E&W Couture, a simple yet stunning gown covered in embroidered daisies, purchased at Halo & Wren Bridal.Halo & Wren Bridal specialise in non-traditional dresses for the modern bride, which was really reflected in Jessica’s beautiful dress. The bride paired the dress with Charlotte Mills shoesand bangles from Tara Osborne Jewellery.
Jessica also wore our silver Flora Halo Multipiece, made up of our Extra Long Flora Vine, and a Flora Mini Vine. The halo was a subtle and delicate addition to her look, and looked effortless along with her hair styled in loose curls, done by Tiffany Rose.
The ceremony took place at the same church the bride’s parents got married in 33 years ago, and the bride arrived in a tractor, driven by her father.
‘I think I was more nervous about how I was going to get in and out of the tractor in my dress and heels than the actual ceremony!’
The bride’s family contributed to the ceremony throughout, with her brother reading the poem ‘What I learned about Love, I Learned From My Dog’, and her grandfather telling a joke instead of the bible reading he was meant to be doing! Their dogs were also a memorable part of the day,
‘Our dogs came to the reception (as it was on the farm) and ran riot- Ted got his paw caught in my veil and generally caused chaos!’
The reception took place on the family’s working farm, with a tipi provided by The Natural Tent Company
‘I have always wanted to get married at home on the farm where I grew up, so the inspiration really came from that’
With handmade decorations, and personally designed wedding stationary and table plan, the wedding was truly personal and in keeping with the homely feel of the farm. The bouquets and buttonholes, made created by Sorcha Herbert Flowerseven incorporated wheat dried from the farm’s harvest.
