How these numbers happen
Every Britten order is followed by a review invitation a few weeks after delivery, collected independently through Yotpo. Only verified buyers can respond, and what they write is published as it arrives — five stars or one. The Etsy, Google and Trustpilot counts above live on those platforms, where we couldn't edit them even if we wanted to. That's the point: every number on this page links to somewhere we don't control.
Reviews aren't marketing to us — they're quality control. Each one is read in our Bath studio, and almost nine in ten of the reviews on this site have a personal reply, usually from Sarah herself. You'll see some of them below, kisses and all.

High quality and great service
I ordered several veils of different lengths to try on with my dress and landed on the floor length Italian tulle barely there 'Celine' veil. I loved the material – it really is barely there, which suited by embroidered dress perfectly as I wanted the embroidery to be visible underneath the veil. The fit was brilliant: really secure but I didn't feel it there at all. Sarah has also been really responsive and the veils were posted on time and arrived beautifully packaged.

Traditional Tulle Veil Samples
The samples arrived quickly and were beautifully presented in a tulle bag with a ribbon. Each sample was labelled clearly and tied with a ribbon. I also ordered samples of two veil edges and each provided an excellent example of the different finish. A handwritten card inside added a personal touch to a very professional delivery. Classic and yet modern
I received so many compliments on my pencil edge Juliet cap veil. It was beautiful, delicate and special due to the custom embroidery add-on. It complemented my sleek, rose-cap, long-sleeve, silk gown perfectly. I wore it with lose hair down, and heirloom earrings. The order arrived very quickly to the US with expedited shipping less than a month before my wedding.

Amazing!!! I ordered the wrong colour veil for my dress and did not know until a week before. However, all was fine as my replacement correct colour was sent out within the week for my wedding and was perfect. Everyone commented on how lovely my veil was. Lovely braclet
A beautiful and delicate bracelet that feels perfect for a wedding day. The floral design is elegant and subtle, adding just the right touch of sparkle without being overpowering. It looks lovely on and feels really well made.

Perfect
Was after a veil that didn’t hide some of the lovely features on the back of my dress and this absolutely fit the bill. Nice and light, ethereal whilst still making the most of your dress.

Lovely veil & even more lovely customer service
Sarah was so accommodating throughout this process. I sent her photos of my gown and she was happy to offer her guidance – and she was spot on! Her advice helped make the decision very simple for me (after having agonised for weeks over it prior to reaching out to her). Then, the week of my wedding, I had a wedding dress crisis and her response was prompt, warm, and so so helpful. If you want to work with a wedding vendor who offers great service as well as a great product, Sarah's your vendor.

Lovely and Practical
This is a really lovely and practical set. The hook is strong and works perfectly for hanging my veil without worrying about it slipping or getting creased. The storage bag is also a great addition and keeps everything protected and dust free. A simple but very useful purchase.

Almost nine in ten reviews get a personal answer
Usually it's a thank-you. Sometimes it's a refund already made, bigger samples in the post, or an email changed the same day a bride pointed out the problem. Four real exchanges, word for word.
Veil/Lace Samples
Beautiful samples but they were so small that I struggled to know which type of fabric would work best for me or how it would look as a veil. Since they were so small I also struggled to colour match to my dress. The lace samples were a better size.

Lovely garter and very happy with it however i’ve given you a 3 star as think you should consider been more “sensitive” arond the postage, specifically the packaging!! You’ve basically ruined the surprise the minute it was delivered, which is a shame as have taken the edge of what was going to be a lovely suprise gift. Im certain im not the only one who would have suffered this. Nick

Disappointed with this veil . The material was not of the quality I was expecting and was more of a open weave netting . It was rather too stiff and coarse . I was refunded very quickly though .

Sorry to read this Karen, our traditional veiling tulle is indeed quite stiff - that is how you get the 'body' and shape required for that classic veil look. Did you spot our silk style tulle? It may be more to your taste as is softer and with less structure. Do get in touch if we can be of any help! x
Custom Veil
I came to Sarah in search of a bespoke, British-made veil which complemented my classic dress and incorporated some personal touches. Sarah helped to source some beautiful handmade lace, made in Nottingham where my husband and I met, and recommended the best type of tulle to show off the bow at the back of my dress. She also took the time to advise on how best to care for my veil before and after our wedding. I would highly recommend Britten Weddings to any bride looking for a beautifully crafted veil and a truly personalised, high-quality service.
